Brüno was a fashion designer, but after a major setback he had no success anymore. But he needed to be famous, so he asked himself what do stars like Kevin Spacey or John Travolta have in common: they are straight.
So he wanted to do a turnaround and become "über schtraight" to be famous again.
After a while he decided to take part in a wrestling fight (a sport for real, über schtraight men). He there made a joke, albeit a very sad one:
"I'm so straight that when I bought my house, the first thing I did was brick up the back door. You know why? Because my...". Whatch this movie trailer for the rest.
But his fighting "partner" happened to be his former apprentice Lutz and in the ring they fall in love, again. And then they get married.
